Kicking off the month, our partner The O2 introduced its new American Express VIP lounge after its £2.6m refurbishment. With walls decorated with images of The O2’s most memorable performers, we will be providing exclusive dining options in the lounge’s new private suites to offer guests a unique and memorable backstage experience.
Meanwhile, the Queen Elizabeth II Centre also revealed its stylish new look. Unveiling the first two stages of a £12m investment, the QEII Centre invited clients, event agencies, buyers and media to celebrate at its showcase on 13th November, where the venue showed off its new facilities, which include a bright, spacious entrance, high tech check-ins and its new Sanctuary executive lounge.
Following its launch evening, the QEII Centre then hosted the Historic Houses Association’s (HHA) Annual General Meeting. It was an honour to be involved with the HHA, who represent 1,570 of the UK’s most unique privately and charitably owned historic houses, castles and gardens. For the occasion, we served attendees a menu by our head chef Danny Porter, featuring ingredients from Goodwood estate, such as Goodwood lamb served with Southdown's lager jus followed by a hazelnut and passion fruit mousse with passion fruit curd.
November also saw us open our second café at Somerset House, Pennethorne’s Cafe Bar. Located in the recently refurbished New Wing, the 85-cover café bar offers a selection of all-day small plates. Specialist breads and pastries are baked onsite throughout the day and can be served alongside a selection of artisan coffees, craft beers and the finest selection of English, French and Italian wines.
We rounded of our month reflecting on 2014, looking at our successes and all the hard work we’ve put in with our annual Communications Day. Held at Leicester City Football Club, the day celebrated and recognised all the hard work and achievements made by our team. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone at Levy Restaurants UK – we’re looking forward to a successful 2015 with lots more new beginnings!
