The perfect platform for your special event

The world’s largest museum of its kind and home to over a million objects, spanning more than 300 years of history.

The collection includes the Royal trains, or ‘Palaces on Wheels’ used by Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II and famous icons such as Mallard – the world’s fastest steam locomotive.

As a unique venue available for corporate hire, the National Railway Museum can accommodate a range of events, including: conferences, team building, launches, receptions, award ceremonies, dinner dances and Christmas parties.

The dedicated conference centre won ‘Conference Venue of the Year’ in Visit York’s Tourism Awards in 2010 and 2013 and the museum was ‘Highly Commended’ for Business Tourism in Welcome to Yorkshire’s White Rose Awards 2013.

In 2013, the iconic Station Hall was transformed into an immersive and nostalgic space, thanks to a £1.4 million construction and interpretation project. This stunning and flexible space can now host anything from small intimate numbers, or up to 800 guests for receptions and gala dinners.

Christmas party packages for 2014 start from just £29.99 per person and include sumptuous catering, fabulous festive entertainment and the chance to party among our world-famous collection in Station Hall.
