It’s about serving great food, both on the ground and in premium hospitality zones. It is about using space well, and understanding high-street trends for design and food, then translating them to suit your audience.
But stadia hospitality isn’t just about the match day rush. It also involves catering for multiple large-scale events, from conferences to corporate Christmas parties. Levy Restaurants UK has worked with Chelsea Football Club since 2005, providing a food and drink service to match the broad range of audiences who visit Stamford Bridge every day. For example, a new ‘Home from Home’ concept at the away end of the ground enhances the overall experience for visiting fans, based on insight that revealed the contrasting needs of ‘away’ fans compared to those who are watching their team at home.
We also provide bespoke food and drink experiences for the club’s training facility in Surrey, a private members health club (Chelsea Health Club & Spa), a state of the art music venue (Under the Bridge) and two destination restaurants (Marco Grill and Frankie’s Sports Bar and Diner).
And it’s not just Chelsea we provide this sort of service for. We work tirelessly to cater for the diverse audiences at stadiums across the country including Twickenham, the Ricoh Arena and the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

UK Customer Experience Award
Levy Restaurants UK was recognised for its revolutionary approach to enhancing the customer experience at Chelsea Football Club through its ‘Home from Home’ programme at the world famous ground. Levy Restaurants worked with the club to create a warm welcome to visiting team’s fans and revamped the entire customer journey from greeting guests at the Tube station, to ensuring the visitor’s stands become an extension of their home ground.
Best Football Hospitality
Celebrating innovation and best practice in the sector, the awards were judged by influential figures from football and the wider business community. Together with our clients, Chelsea Football Club and Royal Berkshire Conference Centre, Madejski Stadium, Reading we achieved top spots. Chelsea Football Club won Best Football Club Hospitality. The club was acknowledged for its customer-centric approach focused around innovation in the food and beverage offering, progressive use of technology and the creation of new hospitality packages to appeal to a broad demographic.
The award for Best Non-match Day Use of Venue went to Royal Berkshire Conference Centre (RBCC), Madejski Stadium, Reading. Levy Restaurants UK drives the sales and marketing function at the venue through its team on site and its venue sales consortium Lime Venue Portfolio. The win was based on RBCC's strong sales performance throughout 2014 that helped improve the yield of events, as well as the profile of the companies using the venue.
Waitrose Chef of the Year
Overseen by Waitrose, sponsors of England cricket, and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), the competition saw our chef Dave Hill win against nine rival international cricket grounds across the country. Dave represents Edgbaston Experience Ltd (EEL), a 12-year-long partnership where Levy Restaurants UK provides retail and hospitality food service at Edgbaston Stadium.
Participants were tasked to create a summer dish inspired by their region before presenting it to an expert panel at the Waitrose Cookery School in London. Judges included former England cricketer, journalist and ECB selector, Angus Fraser and 2010 MasterChef winner, Dhruv Baker. Following the judges votes, it was the public that ultimately decided who was crowned ‘King of the Cook Off’. Dave’s recipe impressed both audiences with his Thai-style tiger prawns with rice noodles, encompassing the fresh flavours of Asia to complement the summer season of cricket.
