Twickenham

The home of England Rugby

Twickenham stadium is the largest dedicated Rugby Union venue in the world, offering more than just top flight sport. It has become a destination for fans around the world to experience the excitement of the match day, immerse themselves in the history at the stadium tour, visit the World Rugby Museum, take a trip to the Rugby Store or watch some of the biggest names in music perform.

Brief

Levy Restaurants UK were tasked with bringing new life to the Twickenham Stadium bars, making them an integral part of the customer experience and creating a more vibrant atmosphere. Twickenham Stadium was looking to upgrade its services in time for the 2015 Rugby World Cup. There are over 40 bars and food outlets included in the refresh.

Solution

Along with revolutionising the fan experience, we needed to ensure the speed of service was improved along with streamlining the service itself. Visual clarity was also included in the brief so that pay stations, menu boards and even queue lines were obvious to customers. Previously cold and concrete ridden outlets were transformed through the use of industrial pendant lights, chunky mesh, black steel fronts and red waterproof laminate. The branding of the kiosks is simple yet effective. ‘Hunger’ and ‘Thirst’ signs and digital screens facilitate easy reading and also allow us to advertise any special food and drink offers.

The changes have allowed us to ‘touch’ all the customer senses capturing the raw excitement of the march and leaving lasting memories that beg to be repeated.
